Winter Wonders

Well hello there again! Is it true that the groundhog did NOT see his shadow so that winter is almost over?! I hope so! I feel like it really is though--I mean it is up in the 20s these days so I'm starting to feel a little crazy! Ha.

So..... I feel like I don't have a TON to say...but I'll catch you up on things that have been kind of going on lately.

Well first things first....I started a new job!!! I am still working at the same Credit Union, but I got a promotion! Before I was a teller and now I am a LOAN OFFICER. Can you believe that? I can't. It still doesn't even seem real to think that I am an 'old' married woman, have two college degrees and now a CAREER. Scary. I never thought I would be where I am today and I feel so blessed to have these kinds of opportunities.

I have really enjoyed my new job--although it's taken (still is) some adjust time. I had to switched to another branch for this position and it was kind of a hard change. I loved the people who I worked with at my old branch. It seems to be that you are at work more than you are ever home so you really gain strong relationships with your coworkers and to pick it up and move on was tough. But, I am already feeling closer to the new crew in this branch, so I know that things will be good. :)

Alex started working two part-time jobs a little over a month ago and it's been pretty killer. He has to work  6 days a week and more than half of those are spent working from 8AM-9:30PM without a break. --The sacrifices he makes for our little family is just unreal to me. I am so grateful to have a man who is so determined and such a hard worker!--

So when we DO see each other, life is pretty great! :) We have been able to take a little time off work for some fun things the past little bit and have enjoyed spending time with family. About a month ago I headed to St. George with my Mom (while Alex stayed here and worked.......sorry babe!) and spent some time down there with my sister. We basically just hung around and spent time together so it was nice to get away and relax for a little bit. :)

Then this past weekend we headed up to my cabin is Island Park to get away from life and snowmobile the weekend away! It was SO nice!!!! As always the weekend was perfect with family, great food, games, snow, beautiful scenery and an escape that is always needed! The weekend always goes by waaaayyy too fast while we are there, but it is always such a great getaway. It's hard to remember life outside of there and responsibilities when you're up there--I think that's why it's the perfect vacation! :)

In other news--my sister in law Beth had her baby!!! It's weird to think that my brother Troy is a DAD!! Ha. But a cute one I'm sure. I wish they didn't live so far away (Alaska) so that I could hold that cute little girl!! Her name is Autumn Raine and I already lover her just by her pictures! My family is expanding quick and it's fun to gain another niece!!! :)

Besides that Alex and I are just working our lives away and spend as much time together as we can. Life is going well for us and we are grateful for all the blessings that we have up here in Logan. Hope you all are well.

Happy Winter!

PS: We got our diplomas in the mail the other day!!!! Yay for official college grads!
